As the United Relief Foundation continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans in need through various acts of kindness, we encourage everyone to include at least one act of kindness to support a local veteran organization in their resolutions for 2025.

The Need for every Single Act of Kindness!
Every year, approximately 200,000 men and women leave U.S. military service and return to life as civilians, a process known as the military to civilian transition.
11% to 23% of veterans have experienced PTSD within a given year. About 17.2 veterans die by suicide each day, with veterans being 1.5 times more likely to die by suicide than civilians.
In 2023, more than 1,000,000 veterans live in poverty and veterans comprise 10.6% of all homeless in the U.S. and are 2x as likely to become homeless versus those who didn’t serve in the military.
Single Act of Kindness Resolution Focus
In addition to encouraging others to support their local veterans support organization, United Relief Foundation’s Single Act of Kindness Resolution campaign will be focused on the most vulnerable veterans who do not have the financial or physical means to travel to get the help they need.
Making a Difference by Being the Different Good Deeds include:
- Providing personal hygiene products, clothing, food and other basic dignity and wellness essentials.
- Helping secure safe shelter or improve their living conditions.
- Aiding during a critical time of need to overcome a self-reliant or wellbeing hardship, challenge or crisis.
How your Single Act of Kindness makes a difference…
The lives of the men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces that the United Relief Foundation touches in their time of need will benefit from your single act of kindness by helping to lift them from despair, renew their spirits, let them know they have not been forgotten, and assist them on a path to becoming self-reliant and contributing members of their communities.
Good Deed monetary donations in any amount will help make a difference in the lives of the veterans in need.
A monetary donation of $250.00 or more receives a framed United in Service Donor Recognition Certificate and a contribution exceeding $2,500.00 receive special public recognition as a United in Service Patron.
