Home Sweet Home Self-Reliance Projects

Self-Reliance House Projects

The purpose of our renovation and new build house projects is to make a difference by providing life-changing trade training, employment, education, and homeownership opportunities for male and female veterans in need.

In addition, to making a difference, we will be developing a sustainable renovation of distressed houses and the build of ADA homes model that can be replicated.

How We Will Be Making A Difference

Our housing projects will touch the lives of several veterans in a way that will help them maintain or regain their self-reliance.

Trade Training, Employment and Education: One-on-One hands-on engagements to help veterans learn basic trade skills for vocational employment, further training or degree.

Home Ownership Opportunities: Renovation and building of affordable single family houses to provide veterans home ownership opportunities.

Compounding the Good: For every veteran served, there is a family, business and community who also benefits.

United Relief Foundation respects and diligently protects the privacy of the veterans we serve. Amry veteran Theron’s instance of making a video testimonial is one of a few exceptions.

With our purpose defined and Hope and Help Partners and Participants being assembled, the next step is the biggest one, which is to secure (by donation or purchase) a suitable house to renovate and a vacant lot to build on.
