Mobile Disaster Response Initiative

When any disasters occur in the United States the United Relief Foundation activates its Mobile Disaster Response plan and coordinates with the area’s first-response officials to best direct United Relief Foundation resources to where they are most needed.

United Relief Foundation volunteers and equipment are disbursed to the designated areas of need to provide specific disaster relief functions of first aid, debris clearing, flood control and comfort support as well as food and beverage stations for disaster victims and volunteers.

Upon completion of the Mobile Disaster Response function, the United Relief Foundation immediately begins the long-term planning of providing A Lifeline of Hope and Help!

Mobile Disaster Response Unit (MDRU)

During the many relief missions by the United Relief Foundation, we discovered that following a majority of disasters the most immediate needs, after providing essential life sustaining relief, is the ability to remove debris or provide other services that can help people start with their recovery.

The United Relief Foundation has launched an initiative to assemble Mobile Disaster Response Units which consists of 20 foot or bigger box trucks which will each contain portable gas generators, chain saws, sump pumps and other debris removal equipment.

Also included will be equipment for serving beverages and food to sustain volunteers and residents in need in the effected disaster areas.

Each MDRU also will have medical and personal hygiene items as well as comfort items like blankets and pillows.
